Ana sayfa / Wearables

Apple has been working on smart glasses for a long time. The company, which has made an ambitious entry into the market with Vision Pro in recent years, has finally started researching microLED displays. It was claimed that the first smart glasses using microLED will arrive in 2026.

Apple may be planning to use microLED display technology in its long-awaited smart glasses. According to leaks, mass production of microLED displays is expected to start in 2026.

Compared to OLED, microLED offers longer life and higher brightness, and performs similarly to OLED in terms of image quality. Therefore, it is seen as the future of affordable display technologies. However, the microLED production process is much more difficult and costly than LCD and OLED.

Xiaomi’s affordable SU7 reaches new heights!

Xiaomi SU7 sales set a record in September. It was stated that the company exceeded the 10 thousand sales figure for the fifth month.

Apple has allegedly given up on using a microLED display in the new Apple Watch Ultra due to high costs. However, it continues to develop this panel for its new wearable devices such as smart glasses. Of course, there are different criteria for smart glasses, such as lightweight design, battery life and high performance.

The company already sells Vision Pro AR/VR glasses for $3500. OLED panels are used in these glasses. Apple’s preference for microLED in its new models may make it more affordable in terms of price.
